PSA Gen2 KS-47 16″ Carbine-Length 7.62×39 1/10 Nitride 13.5″ M-Lok MOE EPT Rifle with TC-E Extractor
FEATURES
Based on the AR-15, the Palmetto State Armory KS-47 G2 uses the same modular structure, accuracy and precision as the AR platform, but with the stopping power of the AK and the option of a magazine. With an AR-style platform, the KS-47 G2 allows AK shooters to make use of their AK magazines and AK ammunition. The KS-47 G2 is different from the AK which has the barrel permanently pressed into its receiver. Instead, it features an AR-style modular configuration that consists of a barreled receiver and a lower receiver housing the magazine and fire control group. Customers can have multiple barrel configurations using one lower receiver by simply releasing two pins.
Lower: The 7075 T6 forged lower receiver can be hard coated anodized and will accept standard AR-15 fire control group. Extended magazine release is located outside the trigger guard to safety. This allows for an AK style release movement and also features large side paddles that allow fingertip release by using the trigger finger. Standard AR buffer tubes are also accepted by the KS-47G2 receiver. Steel reinforcements are included in the KS-47 G2 lower to allow for AK-style surplus magazines, including drum-style. The Gen2 design includes a PA-10 buffer spring and heavy H1 buffer for reliable operation with many aftermarket and surplus magazines. We have tested the KS47 G2 platform and found that the PA10 carbine buffer Spring and heavy H1 buffer can only ensure its reliability. Most aftermarket fire control group (Geissele etc.) will be accepted by the KS-47 G2 lower. One-piece drop-in triggers, such as CMC-style triggers, will not work in KS-47G2. This is due to the magazine catch geometries.
Upper: The KS-47G2 upper receiver is precision-machined from forged 7075T6 aluminum and hard coated anodized to ensure durability. The KS-47G2 upper retains the appearance of a standard M4 but is compatible with the Gen2 KS-47 Lower. To prevent bolt drag on the magazine, the upper has integrated over-insertion tabs. The CMV 4150 barrel chambered in 7.62×39 has a 1 in 10, twist, and has a single feed ramp that can accommodate the larger 7.62×39 round. The barrel has been nitride-treated for durability and accuracy. It also features a 5/8-24 thread A2-style compensator. All standard AR-15 features, including the forward assist, dust cover and charging handle, are available. The KS-47 G2 upper comes with a PSA 13.5″ Lightweight, M-Lok-Free Float Rail. The KS-47G2 upper won’t work with a standard AR-15 lower.
BCG: The new TC-E KS-47 bolt carrier group includes a Toolcraft enhanced extractor that is more durable. The carrier features an extended firing pin that can be used with AK-47 magazines. It is made from nitride-treated 8620 stainless steel and has the gas key attached with grade 8 bolts. This bolt is compatible with all AK-47 magazines. Mag phosphate coated Carpenter-158 steel is used for the bolt.
Magazine: The KS-47 G2 includes one Magpul 30 round AK-47 mag (where permitted by law). The Gen2 KS-47 is tested and guaranteed to work with these AK-47 magazines.
